On Tuesday, February 25, People Analytics Society (PAS) by DCH held its first in-person event of the year, taking place in both Madrid and California. Under the title “The Future of Work as a Network-Based Hierarchy,” People Analytics experts gathered to explore how Network-Based Hierarchy and Organizational Network Analysis (ONA) are redefining decision-making within companies.

With this event, PAS by DCH—a project developed by DCH with the support of Cognitive Talent Solutions, —kicks off its 2025 activities.

Towards a Network-First Future of Work in California, United States

In the United States, the event was held at A&O Shearman’s offices in California. Francisco Marín attended in person to open the session, thanking attendees for their interest in the topic and their eagerness to learn more about the fascinating world of People Analytics.

The event featured industry experts who shared their insights on Network-Based Hierarchy based on their professional experience. Speakers included:

The event in Madrid was hosted at MIOTI Tech & Business School MIOTI Tech & Business School, bringing together People Analytics experts for an in-person session, while colleagues from Latin America joined remotely.

The event began with an institutional welcome from Carolina Calderón, Partnership & Corporate Learning Manager at MIOTI Tech & Business School, and Juan Carlos Pérez Espinosa, Global President of DCH. Following this, Delia Majarín, Global People Analytics Product Lead at ABB, outlined the agenda and introduced the event’s first speaker, Francisco Marín, Founder and CEO of Cognitive Talent Solutions. Francisco opened the event with a presentation on the state of Network-Based Hierarchy and ONA, providing a detailed overview of how these methodologies are reshaping organizational operations.

Ana Valera, ONA Consultant at Cognitive Talent Solutions, followed with a technical session explaining how hidden networks within companies can be uncovered through ONA and artificial intelligence, offering concrete examples of their application.

Next, Teresa Grana, People Senior Director for Spain and Portugal at CBRE España, and Cristina Harto, Learning, Talent Development & Diversity Director at CBRE España, presented a practical use case. They shared how CBRE has integrated these tools to enhance decision-making and strengthen internal collaboration.

The session concluded with a Q&A segment, allowing both in-person and online attendees to interact with the speakers and delve deeper into the discussed topics.

Both the Madrid and California events concluded with networking sessions, where attendees exchanged ideas and reflected on the challenges and opportunities that Network-Based Hierarchy and Organizational Network Analysis present for the future of work.
